Lughnasadh 2008
IVth Symphony for
The Goddess
The idea
for The Symphony for The Goddess developed in 1999.
After the first international Isian Conventions were held in London, excellently organized by Archpriestess Caroline
Wise and her co-workers, the first international Isian Convention on the Continent was held in 2000 and organized by Tara
Hedge College, a center of the Fellowship of Isis since 25 years.
The idea behind the Symphony for The Goddess was and still is to present the great variety of spirituality, focusing
on The Goddess in Her many aspects.
This year
we will meet for the 4th Symphony for The Goddess at the Lughnasadh
weekend, 2008
Saturday, August 2nd and
Sunday, August 3rd, 2008
Location:
Naturfreundehaus near Bielefeld, in the nature protected area of Teutoburger Forest

Feast Day of the Descent of the Holy Sophia
and
Celebration of the Birth of Mother Mary
On Sunday, September 7th from 3:00 - 7:00 pm, the Sunrise Center is sponsoring me to celebrate the Feast of
the Holy Sophia & the Birth of Mother Mary. In the Christian and Gnostic Traditions this is the time of year to celebrate
the Feminine aspect of Divinity incarnating in the material world. The story of the Descent of the Holy Sophia is the tale
of the creation of our physical world. In an inviting and spacious private home in Tiburon we will examine the myth of the
Holy Sophia & her descent into matter as a metaphor for our own soul's journey of remembering and awakening. This
exploration will include movement, voice, dance, improvisation and the use of Gnostic text, THE THUNDER-PERFECT MIND. Songhealer
and recording artist Sophia www.songhealer.net
will contribute her talents to this celebration. Additional information will be sent out via e-mail in early August and advance
registration will be required.
Directions
to Sunrise Center: From highway 101 take Paradise Drive/Tamalpais Drive Exit, go west on Tamalpais Drive &
turn LEFT at the 2nd traffic light in front the Bank of America. There is plenty of parking behind the
Bank, on Meadowsweet Dr., in the parking lot or on Tamalpais Drive. The Sunrise Center is located in Suite A, on the front
side of the building facing Tamalpais Drive.

The main Norwich Chant Collective (NCC) meets every Wednesday evening in the Alec Bussey Scout Centre, Norwich from 7:45 - 9:45pm, although participants often linger for drinks and gossip. A suggested donation of £2 to cover the
cost of room hire is asked at the end of the evening. No equipment is required, however if you wish to bring appropriate percussion
this is welcomed. Wednesday gatherings are limited to over 13s only.
The women of the NCC
host a regular Full Moon Rite as close to the night of the full moon as possible. The aim of this gathering is to provide
an opportunity for solitary practitioners, those who are new to the path or anyone who wishes celebrate the zenith of the
moons power. The rite is kept as simple as possible so that those of any path can celebrate fully. Ritual attire is not expected,
however the rite is held outdoors whenever possible, so a warm jacket and a brolly may be useful! There is no cost for the
outdoor rite, however in inclement weather, a small donation will be asked to cover the cost of room hire. Women usually bring
a little food or drink to share at the end of the rite. The Full Moon Rite has no age restriction and mothers with boys under
7 are welcome to bring them. Further details of this can be obtained from Gee at the Wednesday evening gatherings.
