From Princess Scota Priory

The Tara Team is doing very well. We have created several gardens. The edibles get kitchen'd and the remainder is shredded back into compost to re-use for the follow-on seasons. Several trees are newly installed to pull CO2 out of the air and scoot O2 back - natural “air conditioning.”

I write of our work as a Friend of the FOI, and to honour our Lady Olivia with her dreams for it. Our Lady lives in County Wexford, Ireland and my family name (Macklin) has a very long history in that region. The family owns a large estate on a nearby beautiful lake. We also have a long and very ancient history within the Druid path.

As We Reach the Celebration of Samhain … this is a delightful time for us, seen by many as the wrap-up of the season and of harvest with a dinner fest for family and friends, with a place of high honour for those gone through transition during the year, our mentors and leaders, our friends. At the table a special, empty seat is arranged completely for that purpose and the glass at that setting is filled with the Mead, the meadow wine of summer. A plate is passed along to each who puts a portion of their dinner on it, after which it is then set in priority of place setting before the empty seat until the meal is done. Then the Host couple walk to the garden and give the contents to Mother Nature as a Libation of deep thanks for a great season. In honour of our teachers, later in the glow of Sunset, we gather about the ritual bonfire and sing to the drums while some dance and elders chat in merry harmony

We are work for the environment and now is the moment, for a little while, we can relax from our vigils and labours. Then we begin to plan for the coming of Spring and planting the seeds that were given to us by the land during our harvest, now collected and stored with care. We will wait till Frost King returns that regal role to the Green Man of Summer.

And yes and then as now ; we of Tara send the warmth and great Blessings to all of FOI and fellow Tara people worldwide.

From Clan of the Black Ravens Grove

Some notes from the Druids of * Grove of the Black Ravens. For the life value teaching of our people, the ambient world is our class room and the laboratory for study The space of a meadow ; bounded by a woodland on one side ; a stream on the other and the ever shifting sky patterns above. As the winged and feather'd change shifts by dawn or dusk Our Ravens see within the grasses the myriad of creatures at their work from complex insect forms to rabbits and wonder at the skills of our creator by any name of pathway from dusk to dawn the woodland skies have the Owls on the silent wings and smaller wings carry the mosquito hunters Too, the furred ones hunt for sustenance and keep from Owl talons As our lady the Moon rotates through her schedule the woodland nights do vary in the pace and rest thru Moondark

Within the stream the subtle yet wondrous Trout moves with awesome grace and skill to ever search for nourishment and sees her world both within the stream and some distance still, above the sparkle of the surface.

Deep within the aspects of such a microcosm is prime example provided in Nature. Close observation of details, both great and very small, can further understanding that all is one. For each piece of that study is a learning and teaching icon. This we teach our own here in the Grove, bringing greater awareness of what we think is ‘our’ world and in reality, one we share. And we share it best seeing ourselves as caretakers and Guardians, so then as Druids we are better adapted - better Adepts - at the task of living and in Harmony with all creation and each other!

These the lessons of the Trout

Our task is clear we learn that we may teach and in the dedication we inspire others to carry forward the wonders of Druidry and long centuries of our respected history and our harmony within ...

From our home in Ontario of Canada Blessings of Isis to each and all
